SWITCH TO QUIT – you’re more at risk of COVID-19 if you’re a smoker!

IF YOU SMOKE, YOU’RE MORE AT RISK OF DEVELOPING SERIOUS COMPLICATIONS WITH CORONAVIRUS.

SWITCH TO VAPING TO QUIT SMOKING TODAY!

We’re here to help you.

Social Distancing has certainly put most of our lives on hold, but it does offer us all with an unusual opportunity to focus on ourselves, and get stuff done we’ve been putting off.

How about using this time to quit smoking?

Head of Respiratory Medicine at Swansea University, Professor Keir Lewis reported that those who smoke have more than likely damaged the cells protecting their nose and airways. Which means they are more likely to develop lung problems as a result of contracting Covid-19.  Professor Keir also warned that many smokers will have existing lung conditions are at even greater risk.

Professor Keir added: “It looks like if you have a respiratory condition then you are more likely to develop viral pneumonia from Covid-19. Due to the effects of smoking on the immune responses and your body’s natural defences, it’s likely that smokers are going to be more at risk, independently of whether they have other lung or other medical conditions.”

We’re launching our SWITCH TO QUIT programme, today which provides smokers who are looking to quit with all the tools they need to begin their journey and get smoke free.

The programme includes online support via a Facebook group, daily email support for the first month to help keep you focussed, downloadable materials to help you get started and product advice and support for new vapers. Our starter kit is discounted and for new Ibiza Club members (where their first purchase is a Switch to Quit Kit) they will receive 20% off everything for 3 months.

Switch to Quit fills a gap that the NHS and other cessation programmes don’t cover – what to buy and how to vape. The NHS fully support the use of vaping as a means of quitting smoking. Using an e-cigarette not only reduces the impact on your body (it’s 95% less harmful than smoking) it also allows you to control the strength of Nicotine you use.  Public Health England found that smokers were twice as likely to successfully quit smoking when they combined behavioural support and quitting aids such as vaping.1

Let’s make this time count.
