SWITCH TO QUIT – HOW TO VAPE

How to vape.

Whether you’re a practiced vaper, or you’re switching to vaping to help you quit smoking, there are a few things to you need to bear in mind.

First off, vaping isn’t smoking. Thank you Captain Obvious. Seriously, it’s not such a dumb statement, because many vaping newbies make the mistake of trying to puff away like you would on a cigarette. If you do, you’re going to be in for a nasty surprise.

There are two different vaping techniques:

Mouth-to-Lung

This technique is common when using our E-Cigarette and most suitable for beginners as it closely resembles the experience of smoking. Here’s how …

  1. Slowly draw vapour into your mouth for a few seconds.
  2. Hold the vapour in your closed mouth for a second or two.
  3. Open your mouth and breathe in the vapour to your lungs (not a swallow).
  4. Exhale after vapour is in lungs.

Mouth-to-Lung work best with smaller vaping devices such as our E-Cigarettes and Refillable Vape Pods which have high resistance coils inside them. When you take a drag from one of these devices, it should feel like sucking air through a straw. It should be tight! This type of ‘draw’ creates low vapour and feels more like the act of smoking, providing a similar type of hit to the throat that many smokers crave. It’s a simple technique and provides a more controlled way to vape – particularly if you’re new to vaping.

You can use any strength E-Liquid or NIC salt with our E-Cigarettes or Refillable  Vape Pods.

Direct-to-Lung

If you’re using our Sub Ohm device, you can try direct-to-lung vaping. This is exactly what it sounds like. Hold down the fire button on your device as you inhale the vapour straight into your lungs.

With the sub ohm device, you can control the airflow and wattage. Start on the lowest setting – 20 watts – and build up by ten at a time until you hit the ‘sweet spot’ where you get a flavour and size of vapour cloud you want.

  1. Quickly draw vapour directly to the lungs
  2. Exhale the vapour almost immediately.

A Direct-to-Lung hit is better suited to Sub Ohm devices using lower Nicotine e-liquids. Taking a drag on one of these devices will usually feel like sucking air through a larger milkshake straw.

You can use any type of e-liquid with a Sub Ohm, but we recommend using e-liquids with a Nicotine content of 6mg/ml or less.
